Sweat is not the cause, but the carrier.
Many people believe that sweating itself causes odor.
However, sweat on its own is almost odorless.
The true source of body odor lies in:
Substances excreted through the skin
Metabolic byproducts created when skin-resident bacteria break them down
It is the combination of these that produces body odor.
